Left Coast Estate is seeking an outstanding Accountant to join our team at our beautiful estate in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA. This onsite position is ideal for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with accounting experience, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Accountant Responsibilities:

•  Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
•  Supporting role to Senior Management in annual budget creation process.
•  Responsible for company-wide Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.
•  Preparing and inputting complex journal entries, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
•  Month-end close processes.
•  Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
•  Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
•  Prepare internal and external audit schedules.
•  Audit contracts, orders, and vouchers.
•  Provide financial recommendations to other departmental managers.
•  Support our teams and staff - assist various departments with accounting issues and inquiries.
•  Recommendations on methods to minimize impact of adverse economic conditions or events.
•  Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
•  Implement or update department specific KPI’s and/or worksheet reports.
•  Run various POS (Wine Direct) reports, including department-specific reports, to create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial DTC reporting. Enter condensed POS data into accounting software.
•  Report on costs, productivity, margins, and company expenditures.
•  Manage and provide support the Administrative Accounting Assistant (direct reporting relationship) for Compliance and Payroll.
•  Investigate unusual/non-routine transactions and report findings and recommendations.
•  Assist with our annual update of the employee handbook.
•  Assist in creating, updating, and implementing Left Coast policies and company guidelines and confirming adherence to any/all applicable laws and regulations.
•  Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, employee summaries and warning letters.
•  Process onboarding and off-boarding of company employees.
•  Maintain physical/digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records.
•  Provide a regular presence in our office and embrace a team mentality to help us resolve issues as they arise with employees, vendors, and customers.
•  Proactively help us identify any organizational responsibility gaps and help us find a solution to fill them.
•  Other accounting and finance tasks as assigned by the CEO and COO.


Requirements:

•  BA or BS in Accounting or closely related field.
•  CPA and/or CMA desirable but not required.
•  Working knowledge of accounting principles.
•  Strong working knowledge of accounting systems, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office applications.
•  5 or more years of professional experience with increasing responsibility in career progression.
•  Highly organized, detail oriented and self-sufficient with strong organizational, interpersonal, time management and written skills.
•  Ability to multi-task with heavy volume of requests.
•  Ability to analyze, interpret and question data accuracy.
•  Strong problem-solving skills.
•  Ability to work well with others and stay solution oriented.
•  Ability to work a full time Monday-Friday schedule.
