SUMMARY
Gloria Ferrer Wine Educators role is pivotal for ensuring members and guests receive an exceptional experience. Wine Educators are responsible for imparting knowledge about Gloria Ferrer’s wines, guiding tastings and educating members and guests on the winemaking process, grape varieties, and flavor profiles.

SCHEDULE
Friday and Saturday (may change depending on business needs)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Deliver exceptional hospitality to all guests through food and wine experiences. Ensuring guests have a fun, refreshing and memorable experience.
•  Maintain fast accurate high touch guest service and ensure all products and experiences are consistent with company standards and policies.
•  Enthusiastic, passionate, and dynamic communication style with the ability to speak and engage with guests of various backgrounds.
•  Educate, promote, and sell our wines and wine collective.
•  Maintains retail areas keeping them neat, well stocked and organized throughout the day.
•  Performs standard duties including greeting customers, conducting tours periodically, providing wine education and performs sales transactions using POS system.
•  Fluent understanding of, and willingness for continued training and adherence to all internal operating systems procedures and technology.
•  Assist with the “opening” and “closing” of Visitor Center, stocking, inventory, and other visitor center areas.
•  Supports keeping Visitor Center up to company standard with regards to safety, cleanliness, and neatness in all facility areas inside and out, and customer accessibility.
•  Respectfully follows all alcohol safety and regulatory policies, taking appropriate action, as needed.


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Ensure that the Gloria Ferrer Culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions which includes both ethical and legal aspects, complying with federal and state laws and GF policies and procedures.
•  May be requested to attend special events and tastings outside the winery for special pouring including virtual experiences.
•  Bring innovative ideas to the table regarding improvements of safety, service, merchandise, sustainability, and general operations.
•  Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

•  High school diploma or equivalent and/or one to three years hospitality and wine experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  WSET, CSW or other equivalent certification, a plus
•  Must be at least 21 years of age
•  Must have RBS and Food SERV Safe certification (or complete within 30 days)
•  Retail sales and/or food and beverage service experience helpful.
•  Competency with computers and iPad
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
•  Exceptional customer service and strong leadership experience
•  Must be comfortable with public speaking and remain calm under pressure
•  Must be a team player and ability to think with a safety, sustainability and quality mind-se.
•  Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays
