Hospitality and Marketing Coordinator

Job Description:

We are a six-generation family owned and operated business located in the Russian River Valley. We are a dynamic and growing organization, passionate about what we do, and are seeking a true hospitality maverick, dedicated to their craft.
This role will be a champion of customer service and hospitality, creating unforgettable experiences that emphasize the history of the family, the wines they grow and produce, and the region in which they’ve established their legacy.
In addition, this role will play an integral part in the marketing efforts for the winery, increasing brand recognition through various marketing channels, while maintaining the identity and image of the winery, according to company guidelines.
This position requires weekends and holidays, as well as the occasional evening and off-site pouring events.

Duties and responsibilities:
•  Host guests for a variety of tasting experiences including culinary pairings, tours, large group reservations, outdoor tastings.
•  Provide wine education, local and family history, regional information, all delivered with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
•  Content creation, scheduling, and distribution on social media platforms.
•  Email marketing: design, build, schedule, segment lists, and execute email marketing campaigns according to company marketing schedule.
•  Design collateral for tasting room, wine club, events, and distribution needs, primarily using Canva.
•  Text marketing via RedChirp.
•  Collaborate effectively with team members, contribute to a positive work environment, and supports team goals and objectives.
•  Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, meet deadlines consistently, and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
•  Punctual, adheres to schedules, and follows company attendance policies.
•  Educate guests about the wine club and membership benefits, always working toward conversion. Educate existing members about the benefits of upgrading.
•  Ensure tasting room and inventory areas are clean and neat. Maintain presentability of all display and public areas according to company standards.
•  Ensure that displays of wine products in tasting room are attractive and maintained.
•  Attention to detail while utilizing cash register and WineDirect POS system to transact sales and maintain and enter guest and club member data.
•  Fulfillment of order pickups, onsite purchases, and packing shipping orders.
•  Assist with wine club shipments and packing.
•  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•  Relevant Wine Industry/Tasting Room/Wine Sales experience.
•  Customer service and hospitality skills and experience.
•  WSET or Wine Certification is recommended.
•  Knowledge of direct-to-consumer strategies.
•  Proficiency with CRM and POS systems (WineDirect experience a plus).
•  Proficiency with Canva, RedChirp, social media marketing, and email marketing platforms
•  A true passion and knowledge for wine, wine production and farming.
•  Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
•  A dynamic personality with enthusiasm and energy.
•  Proficient in Microsoft office; Excel, Word, and Outlook.
•  Constantly identifying upselling opportunities and embedding them in every member and guest interaction: club conversion, tier upgrades, add-on sales, merchandise sales, event tickets, return reservations, add-ons to club orders, membership retention and any other way to increase AOV & LTV.
•  Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
•  Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods.

$23-$25 / hour, DEO
