Harvest Internship

Wise Villa Winery located in the Sierra Foothills is seeking harvest interns for the 2024 season! The internship is expected to begin early August and last through December. This is an opportunity for those interested in enology and seeking cellar experience to gain valuable exposure to high-quality small lot production winemaking.

About us: We are a small, boutique winery producing roughly 7,000 cases annually. The winemaking is hands-on, as we manage small-lot fermentations with many different varietals. The team will include 5-6 individuals total, so you will be working closely with the winemakers and there will be ample opportunities to learn about the process and decision making that goes into the final product. We pride ourselves on giving each intern the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the winemaking process, from grapes to glass.

About you: You will need to be highly motivated, sociable, and willing to bring energy to a passionate team that cares about every detail. A willingness to work in all areas of the cellar, lab and vineyard is essential. Experience is preferred but not required if there's a desire to work hard, show passion, and get the job done right!

Physical requirements include being able to lift 50 pounds on occasion, ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time, and can be exposed to indoor or outdoor work environments with varying noise levels.
